Banking Training Web Site

TBB (Turkish Union of Banks) Banking Training Web Site Project is an internet based basic vocational training programme that we prepared in 2002 for people who have just entered the banking occupation but who have received education in other disciplines.

The TBB project offers basic training in Financial Mathematics, and Fundamental Banking (macro- and microeconomics). Thanks to this internet based training (e-learning) system, anyone working at any branch office can have access to the basic knowledge s/he needs on a daily basis, be it at home at in the office.

The training it offers is easily accessible, permanent and has a lower cost compared to other forms of in-service training, for the training it provides is independent of time and place.

In this four-month project, RtB prepared the content design and content organisation of this training site using experts provided by Humanitas, and SBS-Turkey E-learning Centre performed digital material production in parallel with content development.

Content and structure of the lessons were prepared with the goal that the trainee obtains the highest level of productivity possible from the lessons.

In this product, the trainee is given a preliminary test to gauge the initial level of knowledge, and a final test to measure the amount of gain. The user is also quizzed after each lesson. At the end of the training, all scores, together with those units and lessons that were presented and the amount of time spent on each-are reported to the trainee.
