Information Portal

RtB Educational Solutions Company carried out the Information Portal Project in 2004. Information Portal was prepared according to primary school curriculums changed in 2004. The project was prepared for the Turkish Ministry of Education and is currently serving over 180.000 students and 6.000 teachers covering 120 schools placed in 9 counties. The project aims to form a platform focused on education and instruction. The project includes mathematics, science and technology, Turkish, social studies courses for grades 1 to 8. The project will benefit school managers, teachers, students and parents. Thus, a source material was prepared according to the new instruction program for use of teachers and students.
The sections of the project teachers will benefit from may be studied in three parts:
1. The Fundamental Approaches Section includes approaches and applications in teaching, in the learning environment and of instructional strategies. Fundamental Approaches Section was prepared to help the teachers adapt to the vision of the new program. This section provides the teachers with many theories on methods of learning and education (such as constructive learning theory, multiple intelligences theory, learning styles, collaborative learning, problem-based learning, education and internet, measurement and evaluation, and homework). Moreover, this section contains information about class activities.
2. The second section focuses on classes ran in or with the help of multimedia environments.In this section, educational material for each course was separately prepared by using multimedia environments. This section contains rich visual components. The educational material was prepared in accordance with the constructive teaching theory. The activities are student-centered with special emphasis on including real-life examples and improving the self-confidence and motivation level of students regarding learning and application of the information they learn. The purpose is to help the students form new conceptions from their experiences and impressions.
3. The least section focuses on lesson plans, activities and assessment. This section is prepared in two parts, one for teachers and the other for students.
