Teachers' Training
The aim of this project is to introduce computer-aided education in the mathematics and science courses in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades at Tegmen Kalmaz Primary School, Ankara. RtB Educational Solutions Company and Siemens Business Services-Turkey have jointly worked with the school administration since September 2002 on this project. Technical support and infrastructure are provided by SBS-Turkey.
Within this content, RtB Educational Solutions Company is providing the following services to for Tegmen Kalmaz Primary School.
- CAE motivation for teachers and school administration
Education with computers increases the efficiency of teachers, students and administrators. Demonstrations supporting this fact are made. These demos were especially targeted at teachers.
- Basic computer training for teachers (on keyboard, mouse and windows)
Some teachers were found to be unfamiliar with computers. Private tutorials have been given to these teachers. After the basic training provided some proficiency, the use of the educational material on the computer was explained for to the whole educational staff of the school. Thus, the teachers were familiarized with computer-aided education techniques.

- Use of the Teacher's Book prepared for computer laboratories in classrooms equipped with a projection device
The Teacher's Book can act as a guide for the use of the material. For an efficient lecture, the computer, the Teacher's Book and the teacher should work in harmony. For this reason, the methods for efficient use of the books were explained to the teachers.
- Computer aided lecture demonstrations
After these preparations, demonstration lectures were held for the teachers to further familiarize them with the possible flow of their classes while using the new material.
- Computer aided education in classrooms using projection devices
Demonstrations and seminars were also held in classrooms equipped with projection devices for the greatest efficiency in explaining the new material to the teachers.

- Computer aided education in computer laboratory
Because the lessons that take place in a laboratory are more interactive, special care has been given to lessons in such environments. The teachers were trained in the basics of computer aided education and the teacher's role as a guide in the computer laboratory was explained.
