Vitamin Elementary Education Materials Since May 2000, RtB Educational Solutions has conducted the educational design and content development for the Vitamin Elementary Education Project. This project has produced products for the teaching of Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences and Turkish language. Approximately 1200 subject expositions have been produced, more than 10,000 authentic questions and hundreds of interactions have been used. Vitamin Elementary Education Mathematics and Science, which constitute the first part of this project, have been produced for Mathematics and Science curriculum for 6th, 7th and 8th grades of Elementary Education and have been tested and approved.

The general framework on which Vitamin Elementary rests is summarised as follows.

It is a frequent occurrence that, in many a Turkish Ministry of Education curriculum, the teaching order of concepts, and the relationships between the concepts, are not well-identified, and thus ill-influences the educational materials produced. The educational tools then lead to mis- or insufficient understanding of the relationships by students. This issue has been addressed in Vitamin by decomposing the topic concepts into their more basic constituents on a concept map. With the concept map, missing elements are then identified and included; missing educational concepts and their links are addressed, allowing reason-result relations to be presented fully analytically, the allowing the students to make proper inferences as they traverse the material.

In Vitamin, small pieces always come together and produce the whole they're apart of.

The basic building stones of Vitamin Elementary Education are the subject exposition screens. Subject exposition screens form subjects; subjects form sub-units; sub-units form units; and finally units form lesson packages. Inside each sub-unit, there are exercises through which students can improve the things they have learned and Post-Exam Questions through which the user can test him/herself. And inside each unit, there are preliminary and final tests, each of which consists of 20 questions through which the user can evaluate him/herself. The solutions can be viewed for all the questions.

Vitamin Elementary Education CDs are intended to be a lesson support programme that ensures enjoyable and easy learning of lessons in front of the computer by the users. Through two- and three-dimensional animations, interactive experiments and exercises, colourful subject expositions, photographs and films, the CDs ensure an easier comprehension of the subjects within reason-result relationships. Designed for the Turkish market, they also help prepare the user for high school and university entrance exams through examples, exercises, sample exam questions (that were used in previous years) and original exams. And solutions are available for all questions.
